Bora Completes Acquisition of MacroGenics’ Rockville Manufacturing Operations for $122.5M
On July 2, 2026, Bora Pharmaceuticals completed its $122.5 million acquisition of MacroGenics’ GMP biologics manufacturing operations in Rockville, Maryland, including an associated warehousing facility in Frederick, Maryland.
With this acquisition, Bora Biologics expands its U.S. biologics drug substance footprint to a bi‑coastal platform spanning Rockville, MD and San Diego, CA, supported by a development facility in Zhubei, Taiwan.
The transaction establishes a 20,000-liter U.S. single-use bioreactor manufacturing platform designed to support partners from development through licensed commercial supply. Bora also entered into a long-term CDMO service agreement with MacroGenics upon closing.
The expanded U.S. network strengthens Bora Biologics’ inspection-proven infrastructure and reinforces its commitment to delivering integrated drug substance and drug product solutions with domestically anchored capacity.
Bora Group intends to further integrate U.S. drug substance and sterile drug product capabilities over the next 12–18 months to provide a seamless development-through-commercial biologics solution.
